Madison County Judiciary Committee updated on various county issues

The Judiciary Committee for Madison County, Illinois met recently to discuss issues related to the county groups it oversees.

From the detention home, a monthly report was presented to the committee. Probation requested 17 Dell computers at a cost of $19,779 and $15,375 to pay for training and consulting services. A resolution was presented from the Circuit Clerk to purchase a Power 8 Server Upgrade. A monthly jail report was handed to the committee from the Sherriff.

The Judiciary Committee liaises with the Circuit Court, the Circuit Clerk, the State’s Attorney, the Sheriff, Probation and Court Services, Juvenile Detention Home, Public Defender and Jury Commission. Additionally, it works with elected officials on criminal justice operations. The chair of the committee is Steve Brazier. Committee members include Gussie Glasper, Terry Davis, Mike Walters, Liz Dalton, Jamie Goggin and Robert Pollard.
