The Alton Climate Protection and Energy Efficiency Committee to hear from an Elevate Energy representative

The Climate Protection and Energy Efficiency Committee for the City of Alton, Illinois will convene Jan. 5 at 4 p.m. for its first meeting of 2016.

After approving the minutes from its last meeting, the committee will hear from a representative from Elevate Energy. It will then look at the Livability Community Index.

The meeting will be held at Alton City Hall, 101 E. Third St.

The Climate Protection and Energy Efficiency Committee regularly meets on the first Tuesday of the month. Its mission is to promote actions that protect the climate and foster energy efficiency within the City of Alton.

Wayne Politsch is the committee chair. Committee members include Zeke Jabusch, Jeff Dale, Laura Asher, Adam Piepert, Alderman David Boulds and Randy Hausmann.
