The Village of Godfrey board considered annexing property at its recent meeting.

At a recent meeting, the Village of Godfrey's board considered annexations, zoning issues and other ordinances.

The board brought up unfinished business from previous meetings, including the consideration of an ordinance that would authorize the annexation of Hanley Industries Inc. at 3640 Seminary Road.

After that, the committee examined an ordinance that would amend the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Godfrey to zone 3640 Seminary Road as an M-2 classification for general manufacturing. It would also give the location a special use permit to allow flammables and explosives.

The last order of existing business was an ordinance establishing no-parking areas on certain streets within the village.

On the new business front, the committee decided whether to approve resolutions for the release of executive session meetings and tapes. Before adjourning, the committee noted the appointment of Lee Sudlow to the Godfrey Climate Protection and Energy Efficiency Committee.
