Madison County Planning and Development Committee examines variances, petitions

Meeting

The Planning and Development Committee for Madison County met Monday to examine a host of resolutions.

In the first resolution, Todd and Donna Taul requested a variance that would allow them to construct an accessory building in a front yard setback area.

The second resolution involved Richard and Janiece Shaefer petitioning the committee for a variance to create a track of land with a 50 feet property width at the established building line instead of the required 150 feet.

And the final resolution dealt with a petition from Alan and Debra Valenti who want a special use permit to have a manufactured home on their property.

The meeting was held in the Planning and Development Conference Room of the Madison County Administration Building, which is located at 157 N. Main St., Suite 254, in Edwardsville.
