Pontoon Beach Board of Trustees approved an increase in monetary compensation for city treasurer.

The board of trustees for the Village of Pontoon Beach met recently to discuss a host of resolutions and ordinances, including one to increase the monetary compensation of city treasurer and comptroller Scott Oney.

Additional ordinances involved prohibiting the use of groundwater as a potable water supply and renaming the Pontoon Beach Community Senior Citizens Center to “the Marvin Ribbing Recreational Center.”

Present at the meeting were President Mike Pagano, Clerk Harlon Keel, Steve Freese and Ron Motil, along with trustees Chris Hankins, Beverly Hopper and Linda McFarland.
