The Collinsville City Council recently met to examine various ordinances.

The City Council for the City of Collinsville recently met in the Council Chambers to examine and approve a host of ordinances.

Resolutions discussed included one that would appoint Jessica Powers to the Collinsville Planning Commission and one that supports the ability of municipalities to share local sales tax information with outside professionals.

Ordinances looked at included one accepting a notice of Arbitrator Decision for the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, one approving the purchase of a 2016 Ford Expedition from Morrow Brothers Ford and one authorizing the mayor to execute telephone and internet service deals with a company titled Spectrum Business.

Under the consent agenda, the council approved the payment of bills for the previous month totaling $900,902.52.
