The Collinsville Historic Preservation Commission recently met at City Hall to discuss the sale of the property hosting the world's largest catsup bottle.

The 170-foot water tower on Route 159 is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1949, it depicts a bottle of Brooks catsup and has garnered a following that includes an official fan club. The property went up for sale in summer 2014.

The commission also discussed the progress of work at the Collins House and Collins Park.

The meeting was scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. in the training room. Collinsville City Hall is located at 125 S. Center St.
