The Maryville Heritage & Museum Committee met Jan. 16 to review projects in progress.

FINANCIAL REPORT:

LIASON REPORT – Trustee Ed Kostyshock.

A. To Do

1. Siren painting

2. Updates to museum -doors, restroom,?

3. Obtain old uniforms of Fire and Police Dept.

5. Old safe combination

B. Six foot display case up at Village Hall.

OLD BUSINESS:

A. Recruitment of new members: Articles/pictures in newspaper. Use “Memories from Maryville” Facebook page

to help get volunteers.

B. Projects in Progress

1. Marker for Donk Mine

2. Interviews: Up next Tony Barbarotto

3. Loom – Assemble/use

4. Aerials of Village of 1950's being used to record early families & business. Project on hold.

5. Cemeteries: rubbings

6. Inventory put into Past Perfect – ongoing

7. Use of Facebook – for recruitment announcements, and donations

8. Reconfigure display area. Work in progress.

9. Sliva log cabin shed donation

10. Homecoming Display – continue to disassemble

11 Sam’s Club grant

12. Bid from Cosmos Tinting about professionally getting windows treated with shade screening.

Petty got bid from Cosmos for east and south windows.

13. Chinatown Road sign. Historical marker/sign.

14. Village Hall display case – current display and what’s next

15. Maryville Rocks – Spring project?

16. DVD of past Homecomings and new DVD sent to museum

17. Al Hrubetz fundraiser?

18. Loading dock clean up – old mine.

19. Idea of stand at 2017 Homecoming & sell tickets, raise $$ and improve exposure.

20. Community development grant for elevator – update

21. New TV and mount purchased

C. TABLED PROJECTS

1. Exhibition Projects - Baseball and Children’s program

2. Peter's Cemetery –need to get out there. - Possibly get rubbings.
