The Marquette Catholic High School boys track team had been dusting the competition all season, and they continued their all-out sprint in the Hermann Invitational Track Meet to a first place finish.
This Hermann Invitational Meet marked the 13th year in a row for this particular competition. Marquette competed against five other schools — Carrollton, Greenville, North Green, Pleasant Hill and East St. Louis Charter.
Marquette came in first place in six separate events, including the 100- and 400-meter dash, and the 100-, 200-, 400-, and 800-meter relay races. Jon Stewart placed in four events, while Aaron Gregory placed in three.
