Analysis: Sales tax funded 36 percent of City of Fairview Heights budget in 2016

Metro East Sun analyzed the sales tax collections in four St. Clair County suburbs and found they generated a total of $13,136,821 in tax revenue in 2016. That was the equivalent of 9% spent by local government.
