City of Alton Committee of the Whole met November 26. 

Here is the agenda as provided by the committee:

1. Call to Order.


2. Roll Call.

3. Audit of Accounts.

4. Resolution, re: The City Council of the City of Alton approved a lease agreement with North Alton-Godfrey Business Council for the lease of city owned property and that the Mayor and appropriate City officials to be designated by the Mayor are hereby authorized and directed to sign the attached revised Lease Agreement between the City of Alton and North Alton-Godfrey Business Council.

5. Resolution, re: To commence with demolition proceedings concerning 306 Dry St.

6. Resolution, re: The Alton Convention and Visitors Bureau has requested, that the City parking lot between Frontier Furnishings and Paul Lauschke Real Estate be closed on January 5, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. until January 6, 2019 at 3:00 p.m., to facilitate a event sponsored by the Alton CVB.

7. Resolution, re: To commence with demolition proceedings concerning 622 State.

8. Resolution, re: To commence with demolition proceedings concerning 503 Emerald.

9. Resolution, re: That an ordinance be adopted which shall prohibit the possession or consumption of alcoholic liquor, including beer, within premises of any location operated as a retail tobacco store within the City of Alton.

10. Resolution, re: To commence with demolition proceedings concerning 728 Humboldt Ct.

11. Resolution, re: To commence with demolition proceedings concerning 1420 E 4th St.

12. Resolution, re: To commence with demolition proceedings concerning 730 Humboldt.

13. Resolution, re: To commence with demolition proceedings concerning 1221 Pearl.

14. Resolution, re: To commence with demolition proceedings concerning 1715 Maupin.

15. Resolution, re: To commence with demolition proceedings concerning 1033 Wallace.

16. Resolution, re: To commence with demolition proceedings concerning 723 Brown.

18. Resolution, re: The City Council of the City of Alton Illinois finds that such an exemption from the prohibition against issuing a liquor license may be appropriate under certain circumstances and that the attached ordinance be considered.

19. Resolution, re: The City Council of the City of Alton deems it necessary and appropriate to amend Chapter 21 of the City Code pertaining to the regulations of rental dwelling units as recommended by the Director of Code Enforcement and that the attached be considered.

20. Resolution, re: To commence with demolition proceedings concerning 3105 Hillcrest Ave.

21. Resolution, re: That the attached Agreement between City of Alton and Piasa Charitable Foundation and Pride Inc. be accepted.

22. Resolution, re: That a tax levy ordinance be considered for the fiscal year commencing on the first day of April 2018 and ending on the 31st day of March 2019 in an amount recommended by the City Comptroller.

23. Bid Report and Resolution, re: Bid #2018 – 23, Asbestos Abatement at 1110 – 1112, 1114 – 1116, and 1118 – 1120 East 7th Street for the Building and Zoning Department.

24. Adjourn.
