City of Granite City Finance Committee met July 21.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

SIGN IN 

Paul Jackstadt (Chairman), Mary Davis, Brian Konzen, Gerald Williams, Walmer Schmidtke, Brad Eavenson, Tim Elliott, Andy Mathes, Dan Mcdowell, Ed Hagnauer, Bob Pickerell, Greg Koberna, and Tammie Gracey

Alderman Jackstadt called the Finance Committee Meeting to order.

Jackstadt stated that we have to approve tonight an Ordinance termed the Combined Annual Budget and Appropriation Ordinance in and for the City of Granite City, Madison County, State of Illinois, for the Fiscal Year beginning May 1, 2020 and ending April 30, 2021 turned over to Comptroller Oney to discuss any question about the Budget.

Comptroller Oney stated that we discussed this in the meeting and it is up for approval tonight.

MOTION By Jackstadt, second by William to approve an Ordinance termed the combined Annual Budget and appropriation Ordinance in and for the City of Granite City, Madison County, State of Illinois, for the Fiscal Year beginning May 1, 2020 and ending April 30, 2021. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

Jackstadt stated that next is an Ordinance to amend Ordinance 8791, amending the asset purchase agreement with Illinois-American Water Company and turned over to Mayor Hagnauer.

Mayor Hagnauer stated the Illinois-American Water Company wants us to separate the apartment from the residential so that is why we have this Ordinance drawn up.

MOTION By Jackstadt, second by Pickerell to approve an Ordinance to amend Ordinance 8791, amending the asset purchase agreement with Illinois-American Water Company. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

Jackstadt stated that next is an Ordinance to purchase a Fire Engine that is up for approval tonight.

Mayor stated that we are getting and E1 loan it is a cheaper rate than other financing.

MOTION By Jackstadt, second by Elliott to approve an Ordinance to purchase a Fire Engine. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.

Jackstadt stated that next is a Resolution to approve agreement for Engineering and Survey Services.

MOTION By Jackstadt, second by Mathes to approve agreement for Engineering and Survey Services. ALL VOTED YES, Motion Carried.

MOTION By McDowell, second by Mathes to Adjourn the Finance Committee Meeting.

MEETING ADJOURNED.
