Northwest St Clair County Fire Protection District responded to 103 calls in 2018 - 6.4 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Northwest Clair County included 56 fires - 43 structure fires and 13 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $89,550 in fire loss - or about $1,599 per fire.

The department also received 46 false calls, including one malicious call and 45 other false calls.
