City of Granite City Finance Committee met Sept. 1.

Alderman Jackstadt called the Finance Committee Meeting to order.
Jackstadt stated that we have an Ordinance to accept and direct a $2,000.00 gift to the Gift Card Challenge Program and turned over to the Mayor Hagnauer.
Mayor stated that Waste Management give us $2,000.00 every year and this year we would like to put it towards the gift card challenge.
MOTION By Jackstadt, second by Mathes to approve the Ordinance to accept and direct a $2,000.00 gift to the Gift Card Challenge. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.
Jackstadt stated that next is an Ordinance to engage Bond Counsel Concerning Loan from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and turned over to the Mayor to Discuss.
Mayor stated that for the Sale to Illinois American Water Company they would like us to pay off some EPA loans, so we would like to hire Bond Counsel to help direct us.
MOTION By Jackstadt, second by Mathes to approve the Ordinance to engage Bond Counsel Concerning Loans from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. ALL VOTED YES. Motion Carried.
MOTION By Jackstadt, second by Mathes to adjourn the Finance Committee Meeting. ALL
VOTED YES. Motion Carried.
