Call to Order: 5:09 pm

Roll Call: Susan Bautsch excused, Pam Pinegar resigned

Approval of Minutes April 19, 2023, motion to approve; Scott Weber, second; Olivia Hopkins

Public Comment:

Reports:

Budget - new system in place. flower pots cleared

Continuing Business:

1. Introduction of Marc Miller, Horticulture Coordinator - has been employed with the city for 1 month.

2. Recap flower pots/annual plantings/Cole's monument - next year irrigation audit before before planting library and Cole's Monument

3. Arbor Day recap; 18 girls scouts, 10 parents, 1 tree planted at Nickel Plate Station

4. Green Thumb: Motion made by Sarah Cundiff for the release of up to $500 for green thumb for signs. Second by Scott Weber; all approved.

5. Pollinator Pathway City - motion made by Sarah Cundiff to approve $200 to purchase signs for the organizations that have public gardens that make up the pollinator pathway. second, Ken Noll; all approved.

6. Esic Median - still in internal staff discussion, maintenance and safety concerns with location. 

7. Open commission positions to fill (3) - will reach out to public

New Business:

1. Projects for Fall 2023 - Public works landscaping, Goshen Island beds.

Discussion:

Main street tree mulching done improperly. Has been addressed.
