City of Edwardsville Finance Committee met March 12

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Alderman Miracle called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. in the Governor Edwards Conference Room in City Hall, located at 118 Hillsboro Avenue in Edwardsville, Illinois.

Roll Call: Alderwoman Miracle, Chairman, Aldermen Krause and Farrar were present.

Also Present: Jeanne Wojcieszak, Director of Finance; Randi Van Wie, Deputy Director of Finance; Eric Williams, City Administrator; Mike Fillback, Director of Police; Mike Lybarger, Deputy Police Chief; Brendan McKee, Fire Chief; Cathy Hensley, Communication Coordinator; Jared Kanawaran, Edwardsville resident and Don Munsch, Edwardsville Intelligencer.

No public comment was made.

Motion by Miracle, seconded by Farrar to approve the minutes of the Finance Committee meeting held on February 26, 2026. Motion carried with Miracle, Krause and Farrar voting aye.

Claims amount will be announced at the Tuesday, March 16, 2026 Council meeting.

Motion by Miracle, seconded by Farrar to approve and forward to council a Resolution Authorizing a Development Agreement between the City of Edwardsville and Fireside Financial, LLC. Motion carried with Miracle, Krause and Farrar voting aye.

Motion by Miracle, seconded by Farrar, to approve and forward to council a Sole Source Resolution Authorizing a Contract between the City of Edwardsville and Mediclaims, Inc for Processing, Filing, and Managing Emergency Medical Service Claims. Motion carried with Miracle, Krause and Farrar voting aye.

Michael Fillback, Director of Police discussed the Police Department 2026-2027 Budget.

Brendan McKee, Fire Chief discussed the Fire Department 2026-2027 Budget.

Finance Committee will meet on Thursday, April 02, 2026 at 3:30 p.m. in City Hall.

There being no further business, meeting adjourned at 4:37 p.m.
