II. Council Matters: 

A. Approval of Minutes from the September 25, 2024 Public Services Committee meeting: 

Alderman Warren made a motion to approve with Alderman Morrison seconding the motion. All Ayes. Committee forwarded to Council for information. 

B. An Ordinance Amending Chapter 114, Article IV, Division 2 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Edwardsville – Limited or Prohibited Parking Areas 

Alderman Warren made a motion to approve with Alderman Morrison seconding the motion. Staff explained that this is for prohibited parking on Inner Park Drive, Sports Park Drive, as well as modifies parking on Esic Drive and University Drive to align with existing signage and improvements. All Ayes. Committee forwarded to Administrative and Community Services for consideration. 

C. Approval of a Sole Source Resolution Authorizing the Purchase and Installation of Automated Meters from Core and Main LP in the amount of $1,180,250.00 

Alderman Warren made a motion to approve with Alderman Morrison seconding the motion. Staff explained that this is for the purchase and installation of the second phase of water meters along routes 3, 5, 6 and 7. All Ayes. Committee forwarded to Council for consideration. 

D. Approval of a Resolution Amending Resolution 904-04-2024 (Budget Amendment) 

Alderman Warren made a motion to approve with Alderman Morrison seconding the motion. Staff explained that this is for additional funding necessary to properly equip and train new firefighters and paramedics. All Ayes. Committee forwarded to Finance for consideration.

IV. New Business: Alderman Morrison expressed gratitude for the efforts staff has made towards BPAC recommendations and requested IDOT review of the crosswalks at the intersection of State Route 157 at State Route 143.
