Regular gas was sold at the lowest price of $2.79 per gallon at three gas stations in St. Clair County during the week ending Feb. 14, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
Regular gas prices averaged $2.96 per gallon in St. Clair County.
Among 107 gas stations in cities within St. Clair County, 72 offered regular gas.
Across Illinois, the average reported price for a gallon of regular gas rose to $2.99, compared to the week before.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
