Rep. Mike Bost, a U.S. Congressman representing Illinois’ 12th district, recently shared updates and reflections with constituents through his official Twitter account.

Addressing infrastructure concerns on July 22, 2025, Bost highlighted challenges faced by local farmers: “For farmers in Southern Illinois, the rural roads used to haul grain for weighing or to transport feed and fertilizer are often narrow, weight-limited, and in disrepair. Bost has represented Illinois’s 12th District since 2015 after serving two decades in the Illinois House of Representatives and previously on the Jackson County Board. He was born in Murphysboro, Illinois in 1960 and continues to reside there. Additionally, he is an alumnus of the University of Illinois’ Certified Firefighter II Academy.
