U.S. Representative Mike Bost, who serves Illinois’ 12th district, recently addressed housing affordability and defense industry developments in a series of posts on his official social media account.
On February 18, 2026, Bost discussed efforts to make homeownership more accessible for working families. He wrote, “For years, working families have had a tougher and tougher time buying a home. I met with local realtors and county officials at Kaskaskia College in Salem to talk about the work we’re doing to expand access to affordable homes, including legislation that updates federal housing”.
The following day, February 19, 2026, Bost reported on a visit by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to St. Louis. In his post he stated, “Secretary of War Pete Hegseth visited St. Louis yesterday and announced the headquarters for Boeing Defense, Space & Security is returning to the city, bringing leadership back alongside the men and women who power our nation’s aerospace and defense manufacturing. This move”.
