Rep. Mike Bost, who represents Illinois’ 12th district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts on social media in February 2026 highlighting recent legislative actions and recognitions related to his work in Congress.

On February 11, Bost announced an award from FRC Action, stating: “Honored to receive the @FRCAction’s 100% Award, recognizing my commitment to faith, family, and freedom throughout all of 2025. I’ll continue fighting for values many Southern Illinoisans cherish, including standing for life, parental rights, strong families, and fair” (posted February 11, 2026).

Later that evening, Bost addressed his support for new voting legislation: “I voted for the SAVE America Act tonight because the right to vote in American elections belongs to American citizens, period. This bill puts commonsense safeguards in place by requiring proof of citizenship to register, photo ID to cast a ballot, and real accountability to clean” (posted February 11, 2026).

On February 13, Bost commented on agricultural policy and state regulations: “California’s Prop 12 has created costly confusion for farmers across the country, including right here in Southern Illinois, by letting one state dictate standards nationwide for pork production. The next Farm Bill must restore regulatory clarity and protect our producers from” (posted February 13, 2026).

Bost has represented Illinois’ 12th district since replacing Gerald Hawkins in Congress in 2015. He has consistently secured reelection over multiple cycles: defeating William L. Enyart in 2014 with approximately 52.5% of the vote; Charles Baricevic in 2016 with about 54.3%; Brendan Kelly in 2018 with around 51.6%; Raymond Lenzi in 2020 with roughly 60.4%; and Chip Markel most recently in the general election with a margin of approximately three-to-one.
