Rep. Mike Bost, U.S. Representative for Illinois’ 12th Congressional District, recently posted a series of updates on social media addressing events and issues relevant to his constituents in Southern Illinois.

On January 23, 2026, Bost highlighted the participation of young activists at a major annual rally, stating: “Great to see the Pro-Life Generation front and center at the #MarchForLife2026 today defending the rights of the unborn!”

Two days later, on January 25, 2026, Bost acknowledged educators during a national observance week: “Today kicks off National School Choice Week. We have so many wonderful teachers and educational professionals in classrooms across Southern Illinois. We can support their dedicated efforts and ensure our children have the resources for bright futures without relying on https://t.co/Wve8aus66Q”

Addressing local impacts from severe weather, Bost informed residents about office closures on January 26, 2026: “Due to the effects of the recent winter storm in Southern Illinois, all of my district offices are temporarily closed and mobile office hours will be rescheduled.
