On April 16, Bost addressed aviation safety concerns, referencing past incidents and legislative efforts. Later that day, Bost highlighted his participation in an event honoring fallen firefighters alongside the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. He wrote, “Honored to help present 204 American flags flown over the U.S. Capitol with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation in remembrance of fallen firefighters from across the country, including Illinois’ own Captain David J. Meyer. As Chairman of the Congressional Fire Services” (April 16, 2026).
On April 17, Bost shared a personal moment involving his family: “Proud grandfather moment this morning as the family watched my grandson, Stanley, receive a police escort along with his fellow athletes in Murphysboro as they make their way over to Herrin for the Special Olympics.” (April 17, 2026).
