State Senator Erica Harriss, who represents Illinois’ 56th District, will hold a series of Listening Sessions in January. The sessions are intended to give residents an opportunity to meet with the senator individually and share their concerns or suggestions.
“Meeting directly with the people I serve is the best way to understand the issues that matter most in our district,” said Senator Harriss. “These conversations help guide my work in Springfield and ensure I am representing the needs of our community effectively.”
The scheduled dates for these sessions are Tuesday, January 6; Wednesday, January 7; Friday, January 23; and Thursday, January 29. Each session will run from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

“These sessions are all about listening. Some of the best ideas for legislation come from the people we serve. I look forward to hearing from everyone in the district,” said Senator Harriss.
Senator Harriss was elected as a Republican to represent Illinois’ 56th Senate District in 2023, succeeding Kris Tharp.
