Alton Police Pension Fund board will meet on Dec. 15

The Alton, Illinois Police Pension Fund board will meet on Dec. 15 at Alton City Council Chambers in City Hall.

Scheduled to start at 10 a.m., the meeting will include the standard items, including applications for membership, pensions and refunds, as well as old and new business.

The Alton Police Pension Fund board oversees the pension fund for the city's police as required by state law.

The Alton Police Department aims to professionally serve the citizens of the city. The department's mission is to work in partnership with the community to fight crime and the fear of crime in a community-oriented manner.

The Pension Fund board meets monthly, with the last meeting having convened on November 24.
