The Madison County, Illinois Finance and Operations Committee met today to discuss purchasing resolutions.

The committee discussed three important resolutions. One resolution is a plan to renew the property tax, CAMA, online property inquiry (WEDGE) and permitting and zoning software license, and maintenance and support for the county’s information technology department.

The second resolution deals with the purchase of 12 new model 2016 police interceptor vehicles for the county’s sheriff’s office. The third resolution authorizes the use of appellate prosecutor service for the state’s attorney department.

Additional highlights from the meeting include a discussion on the re-appropriation resolution, a claims and transfer report and a motel tax reconciliation. Additionally, the committee looked at immediate emergency appropriations, including the 2016 Health Department HIV grant and the 2016 Child Advocacy Center IL DFS grant.
