The Madison County, Illinois Public Safety Committee convened recently to present an award, go over purchasing approvals and discuss assorted monthly reports.
After hearing public comments and approving the minutes from its November meeting, the committee presented an award from the U.S. Attorney to a coroner’s office employee.
The committee then discussed a purchase request from the sheriff to buy Motorola APX4500 radios. There was also a conversation on a court security/sheriff C/O resolution for 12 vehicle purchases.
The committee also heard monthly reports from animal control, the coroner and emergency management. Additionally, the county’s police sheriff talked about patrol operations to the committee.
