Madison County Judiciary Committee will meet today at 4:50 p.m.

The Judiciary Committee for Madison County, Illinois has released it agenda for today’s meeting, which will take place at 4:50 p.m.

After roll call, the committee will discuss purchasing approvals. The main approval to be discussed is the court security/sheriff C/O resolution for the purchase of 12 vehicles. The committee will also tackle any other new business items on the docket.

The Judiciary Committee exists to liaise with the circuit court, circuit clerk, state’s attorney, the sheriff for jail operations, probation and court services, juvenile detention home, public defender and jury commission. Additionally, it works with elected officials in coordinating criminal justice operations. It provides recommendations on changes in procedures as well.

Steve Brazier is the chair of the committee. Committee members include Gussie Glasper, Terry Davis, Mike Walters, Liz Dalton, Jamie Goggin and Robert Pollard.
