Madison County Real Estate Tax Cycle Committee discussed the tax year reports at recent meeting

The Real Estate Tax Cycle Committee for Madison County, Illinois met recently to review the tax year reports, approve the tax sale deed resolutions and review bills for recent months.

Kurt Prenzler of the Treasurer’s Officer, Debra Ming-Mendoza of the County Clerk Office and Joseph Dauderman of the Chief County Assessment Office presented tax year reports.

Committee member Steve Brazier made a motion, which was second by committee member Tom McRae, to approve the tax sale deed resolutions. The motion was approved unanimously.

In the bill review portion of the meeting, the bills for October were submitted and approved in a motion by McRae, which was seconded by Brazier.

The committee had no new business to discuss at this meeting.

The Real Estate Tax Committee oversees the County Assessment Office. It liaises with the Board of Review and works with county departments and elected officials to manage the county’s real estate tax cycle.
