The City of Alton Plan Commission recently announced its upcoming February public hearing.

The Plan Commission for the City of Alton, Illinois, recently gave notice of an upcoming public hearing that will take place at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2.

Charles Wiley Jr. will petition the Alton City Council for a special uses permit to operate a motor vehicle towing dispatch center at 826-834 E. Seventh St.

The commission exists to prepare and recommend a comprehensive plan of public improvements to the City Council. Mark Hackworth is the chair of the commission. Members include John Rain, Martha Kane, Joe Blair, Gary Doerr, Bill Stoutenborough, Barry Clayton, Terry Dooley, Todd Harpole and Anne Doucleff.
