The City Plan Commission for the city of Alton will meet at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday for a public hearing.
Residents Jason West and Robert McAfoos have petitioned the Alton City Council for a text amendment to Section 3D of Chapter 5 of Title 11 to add Motor Vehicle Custom Shops to the list of special uses within the R-2 Single-Family Residential Zoning District.
They also seek a special use permit that would allow them to operate a motor vehicle custom shop at the property located at 2115 College.
The hearing will take place in the Alton City Council Chambers, located at 101 E. Third St.
