The Finance Committee for the city of Edwardsville gathered recently to approve an application for tourism funding festivals, conferences and sporting events for the 2015-2016 fiscal year.
Rich Hampton, the city treasurer, notified the committee of the pension board’s gratitude for supporting the Police and Firefighter Pension Board levy approval.
Other new business items included a review of claims in the amount of $634,529.19 and a discussion of the 2015 Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association.
An existing business item discussed at the meeting was a request for the Council of Tourism to fund the American Legion National Baseball Tournament and the Great Lakes Regional for $5,000. The committee voted on and approved the request.
