The Administrative and Community Services Committee for Edwardsville recently approved a bid for new playground surfacing at Joe Glik Park.
The new surface would use recycled rubber and cost $10,106.25. Ecoturf Surfacing LLC would complete the project and funding would come through the Madison County Sustainability Grant.
The committee all voted to approve the project.
The committee examined multiple ordinances during the meeting. One was an ordinance approving the transfer of volume cap in connection with private activity bond issues and related matters.
This would allow the regional development authority to pool industrial bond caps together in order to attract larger projects in the year. The ordinance was approved unanimously.
Present at the meeting were Craig Louer, Barb Stamer, Tom Butts, Scott Hanson, Cheryl Porter, Tammy Kehrer, Eric Williams, Jeff Berkbigler, Bob Pfeiffer, Jeff Mills and Matt Kamp.
