7 p.m. - public hearing
A request for a variance has been submitted to the zoning board of appeals by Tim and Julie Root. A public hearing will be held to decide whether the zoning ordinance should be varied to permit the applicant to construct an in-ground swimming pool with a 5'-4" setback from the right property line where a 15'-0 setback is required and a 8'-6" setback from the rear property line where a 15'-0 setback is required. Additionally, the applications are seeking a 2'-0" setback from a platted easement where a 5'-0" setback is required. The property is located at 612 Briarstone Drive, Glen Carbon, IL.
