Alton Middle School now has times set for cross country, baseball and girls' basketball tryouts and practices, according to AltonAthletics.org.
Cross country gets underway from 5 to 6:30 p.m Monday at Gordon Moore Park by the Muenstermann Pavilion.
Baseball starts Wednesday, Aug. 3, and Thursday, Aug. 10, at the AMS baseball field. The sixth and seventh graders will have the field from 8 to 10 a.m., while the eighth graders will have the field from 10 a.m. to noon.
For girls' basketball, open gyms will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, and Thursday, Aug. 25, as well as Monday, Aug. 31, through Friday, Sept. 4, at the annex and main gyms of Lovejoy Elementary and East Elementary.
Each student interested in trying out must have an up-to-date physical.
