City of Edwardsville Public Services Committee met June 27.

I. Public Comment:

Julie and Terry Reising, residents at 4 Ora Jane Way and members of the Ora Jane Way Homeowners Association, presented their concerns about the new Hecks Subdivision and how it will impact the properties on Ora Jane Way. Staff will meet with the residents to discuss the platted right of way and easements in the area.

ll. Items for Warded to Council:

A. Approval of Minutes from the Public Services Committee meeting of June 13, 2017.

Alderman Burns made a motion to approve the Minutes from the Public Services Committee meeting of June 13, 2017. Alderman Louer seconded the motion, Al Ayes. Committee forwarded to Council for information,

B. Approval to Award the 2017 Pavement marking Contract to Control Line, Inc, in the amount of $26,520.20.

David Sirko explained the pavement marking is an annual contract to repaint crosswalks, parking areas, Centerlines, and other areas as needed. Alderman LOuer made a motion to recommend Approval to Award the 2017 Pavement Marking Contract to Control Line Inc. in the amount of $26,520.20, Alderman Burns seconded the motion. All Ayes, Committee forwarded to Council for approval.

C. Approval to award the Leclaire Lake Retaining Wall Contract to Keller Construction Inc. in the amount of $149,528.87.

Alderman Burns made a motion to recommend Approval to award the Leclaire Lake Retaining Wall Contract to Keller Construction Inc. in the amount of $124,124.33. Alderman Louer seconded the motion. David Sirko explained that the bid process was initially done for the base bid of 325 feet, but additional wave erosion is beginning to occur along the bank to the south, which necessitated the alternate bid of 421 feet. The base bid was for $124,124.33 and the alternate bid is for $149,528.87, Alderman Burns made an amended motion to recommend Approval to award the Leclaire Lake Retaining Wall Contract to Keller Construction Inc. in the amount of $149,528.87. Alderman Louer seconded the motion. All Ayes, Committee forwarded to ACS and Council for approval.

III. Old Business; Eric Williams stated that ACS will be discussing the new grass height ordinance om Thursday June 29, 2017 if anyone would like to bring their recommendations or changes.

IV. New Business: None

V. Information for Council Agenda:

A. Next Public Services Committee meeting will be held in the Governor Edwards Conference Room (Committee Room) of the City Hall Building on July 11, 2017 at 5:30pm,

VI. Adjournment; Alderman Louer made a motion to adjourn. Alderman Stamer seconded the motion. Committee adjourned at 5:57 p.m.
