Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville's undergraduate exercise science program has earned a spot among the best such programs in the nation, CollegeChoice.net said.
A news release from SIUE said the program, part of the School of Education, Health and Human Behavior's Department of Applied Health, was ranked No. 22 in this year's Best Sports Medicine Degrees ranking by the website. The rankings cover athletic training, exercise science and kinesiology programs.
“We are proud of the national recognition our accredited exercise science program is receiving,” Bryan Smith, associate professor and director of the program, said in the news release. “Congratulations are due to the program faculty and instructors who devote significant time and effort to provide students with a high-quality education.”
CollegeChoice.net compiled the rankings from a formula including scores based on return on investment, satisfaction of students and the excellence of the institution.
