Analysis: Centreville pays $3.25 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Centreville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 76.5 percent of the $145,593 the Centreville Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.25 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Centreville contributed $111,309 to the fund, which saw a $9,440 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $34,173, or 23.5 percent, in 2016. Another $111 came from other unspecified sources.
