O'Fallon Community Consolidated School District 90 recently issued the following announcement.
Congratulations to the "Todd Stonewater, Edward Jones Support Staff Member of the Month," Mrs. Lisa Cripe!
Ms. Cripe has been an integral part of the staff at both Carriel and Fulton for many years. She began her career as an accompanist for the choir program until the position was eliminated.
She has since served as an instructional aide to support the teachers. In the last two years, her main focus is supporting the music education programs at both Carriel and Fulton.
This is where her true passion is allowed to shine as she helps support the programs that expose our students to the arts.
Whether she is accompanying on the piano during choir rehearsals, helping lead a small group of students during a music theory lesson, organizing the extensive library of music, or any other tasks assigned, she does it with joy in her heart and a smile on her face.
In addition to her classroom support, she also seeks and shares opportunities for students to engage in the fine arts in the community.
Although not required, she supports the students and attends all music concerts often helping as a volunteer. Another idea she implemented to help support members of our community is a food sharing program.
If students take whole pieces of fruit and decide later they do not want them, she places baskets for students to put the unwanted fruit in.
Once a week she takes this fruit to the food pantry. Ms. Cripe is the type of staff member that is always looking for ways to help others and to help our students explore their talents and serve in our community.
A big D90 thank you to Mr. Todd Stonewater, of Edward Jones, for his generous support of our staff award program this year!
