Cost of college went down for all students at Vatterott College-Fairview Heights

Tuition and fees fell 4.6 percent for 2017-18 at Vatterott College-Fairview Heights, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $11,723 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution this year $559 less than the $12,282 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 55 students received grants or scholarships totaling $290,871 and 57 students took out student loans totaling more than $535,610.

Including all undergraduates, 422 students used grants or scholarships totaling $2.04 million. Another 433 took out $4.12 million in federal student loans.
