In early June, Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale PC attorney Jessica Courtway was named as one of the 30 winners for the St. Louis Business Journals’ “30 Under 30” list for 2018.
Courtway, who joined Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale PC in 2014, was nominated along with 200 other outstanding professionals under 30 in St. Louis.
“I am humbled and honored to be part of such an impressive group of young professionals,” Courtway told the Record.

The St. Louis Business Journal accepts nominations for exceptional young professionals who are dedicated to serving their local community.
The annual “30 Under 30” list honorees are chosen by previous winners along with the St. Louis Business Journal editors. Winners are chosen from many different fields and are recognized as future leaders for the St. Louis area. The winners will be featured in the July 6 issue of the Business Journal and will receive an awards banquet in their honor.
Courtway is part of Greensfelder’s Construction Industry group, focusing on construction litigation and arbitration, contract negotiation and contractor licensing issues.
“I’m lucky to have found a great firm and a niche practice I enjoy very much,” Courtway said.
Courtway worked as a summer associate for Greensfelder before joining the firm after she graduated in 2014. Courtway obtained her degree from Washington University.
“I knew a law degree would open up a lot of doors career-wise,” she said.
In addition to her work with Greensfelder, Courtway is part of the National Association of Women in Construction, serves as president for the Missouri Asian-American Bar Association and vice chair for the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis’ Young Lawyers.
Courtway also works within the St. Louis community as a Big Sister for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri, and Site Liaison for Girls on the Run of Greater St. Louis
Courtway hopes to continue to grow in her legal career and aspires to “perhaps even join the firm’s management in the future.”
Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale was founded in 1895 and currently has 150 attorneys in its St. Louis, Chicago and Belleville offices.
