Collinsville Community Unit School District 10 issued the following announcement on Aug. 20.
A special thank you to ALL of the local businesses and organizations who collected school supplies to donate to our students.
Whether it was the annual collection box in the lobby of your business, Collinsville Chamber of Commerce (IL) members bringing items to their networking lunch or the good Samaritan at Wal-Mart who offered to pay for items being purchased by a couple of teachers — our community went above and beyond to make sure CUSD 10 kids have what they need.
Here’s an example: Evan Schumacher and his colleagues at World Wide Technology, Inc. reached out to KAHOKstrong to see how they could support the back-to-school effort.
World Wide Technology’s Global Service Provider and Web Services Global Order Operations teams “adopted” Caseyville Elementary and delivered a car full of supplies to Principal Chelsea Clark.
“It is truly amazing what a few people are able to accomplish when working together to help our local communities out!” said Schumacher.
