According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 324 students during the year. That equates to 5.2 percent of the 6,189 students enrolled.
Of the 38 in-school suspensions, 27 were given to boys and 11 were given to girls, including 19 elementary or middle schoolers and 19 high schoolers.
The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for violence without physical injury. The category includes 23 incidents. There were 12 incidents of unspecified reasons. For 22 incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.
Of the 286 out-of-school suspensions, 201 were given to boys and 85 were given to girls, including 239 elementary or middle schoolers and 47 high schoolers.
The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for violence without physical injury. The category includes 258 incidents. There were 15 incidents of drugs. For 142 incidents, students were suspended for 3-5 days.
