Report: Triad spent $9,039 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Triad Community Unit School District 2 is up 3.2 percent from five years ago, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Madison County school district spent $8,757 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,039 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 3691 to 3786.

Triad's spending in 2017-18 was 32.2 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
