Report: Harmony-Emge spent $10,616 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Harmony-Emge School District 175 is up 5.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Saint Clair County school district spent $10,083 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,616 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 843 to 809.

Harmony-Emge's spending in 2017-18 was 20.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
