Report: High Mount spent $8,944 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at High Mount School District 116 is down 0.6 percent from five years ago, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Saint Clair County school district spent $8,998 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,944 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 440 to 443.

High Mount's spending in 2017-18 was 32.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
