Q3 real estate sales report: New Douglas

Median prices rose in New Douglas over last year, and are up 77.1 percent over 10 years, adjusted for inflation, according to third quarter sales data collected by BlockShopper.com.

From July to September, 1 home sold in New Douglas for a price of $223,000. That's 313.3 percent higher than median home sale prices for the third quarter of 2017.

In the third quarter, there were no foreclosures in New Douglas.

Median property tax for homeowners in New Douglas was $1,263.90 in 2017 according to tax data from that year. That means homeowners pay 2.3 percent of their home's value in taxes.

Statewide, Illinois homeowners pay an effective property tax rate of 2.2 percent, according to a 2017 property tax analysis by ATTOM Data Solutions, ranking it second among U.S. states and the District of Columbia.
