Columbia home prices fall in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Columbia fell by $139,000 while total sales decreased by 33.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $214,000 - a 39.4% decrease over the $353,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were three homes sold in Columbia in 2016.

The median sales tax in Columbia for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $6,443, approximately 3% of the median home sale price for 2017.
