Granite City home prices fall in June 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in June 2017 in Granite City fell by $14,500 while total sales increased by 19.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In June 2017, there were 61 homes sold, with a median sale price of $52,500 - a 21.6% decrease over the $67,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 51 homes sold in Granite City in June 2016.

The median sales tax in Granite City for 2017 was $1,487. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,515. This marks an decrease of 1.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.8%.
