Q2 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Jersey County?

There were five offenders released on parole during the second quarter that live in Jersey County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Metro East Sun.

The data shows that four men and one woman were released in Jersey County. The median age of the parolees was 39. The youngest parolee was a 29-year-old woman sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2016, and the oldest was a 48-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was James G. Hillmann. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2015 when he was 26 years old. He is now 30.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter in each Jersey County municipality.
